A bus and a
Max truck (pickup) vehicle collided head-on in Salempur police station area of
Bulandshahr. Due to which 12 people died. While 37 people were injured.
According to media reports, the bus was overtaking from the wrong side when it
collided with a pickup coming from the front. The collision was so severe that
the front part of the pickup was completely damaged. 10 people traveling in the
pickup and 2 traveling in the bus died in the accident. The dead included 7
men, 4 women and a child. Apart from this, 37 people have been injured. The
injured have been sent to the hospital. Officials said that this accident
happened on Badaun-Meerut State Highway located in Bulandshahr district.
As per the
media report, After receiving the news, the police arrived and sent the injured
to the hospital with the help of the villagers. Treatment of the injured is
going on there. DM told in this matter that today a pickup vehicle was going
from Ghaziabad towards Sambhal and a bus was coming towards Bulandshahr. Then
this incident happened. This accident which happened near Salempur police
station is a big one.
It is said
that the people traveling in the pickup were residents of Aligarh district. He
used to work in a biscuit factory in Ghaziabad. Were going home on Raksha Bandhan.
When they reached near Salempur, the bus hit them from the front. The bus
driver absconded after the incident.
